This distinguished resort boasts having hosted 13 US presidents thus far. Celebrities of all sorts have enjoyed the hospitality of the resort since its opening in 1929. The architect of the original structures, Albert Chase McArthur, was a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. Wright served as the consulting architect for the initial construction.  Having begun service during the time of the Great Depression, it has been quite an accomplishment to achieve such ongoing and unparalleled success.
